The new report from CIMA, Broadcasting in UN Blue: The Unexamined Past and Uncertain Future of Peacekeeping Radio by Bill Orme, has been released. Bill Orme served for the past seven years at the United Nations Development Program as a senior advisor on media development and strategic communications.  Orme is a former executive director of the Committee to Protect Journalists and has been a foreign correspondent for The New York Times, The Washington Post and The Los Angeles Times.

A publication available online aims to engage key stakeholders including journalists in enhancing freedom of information in the Africa region. The project aims to demonstrate the relevance of freedom of information in the promotion of women's rights. Research was conducted in Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa and Zambia. The study was supported by UNESCO and the African Women's Development and Communication Network (FEMNET).

This study presents a state‐of‐the‐art survey of what is known about the media and cultural diversity in key West European countries together with Canada and the US, and offers a forward‐looking view of the complex relationship between the media, public opinion and institutional actors during the past 20 years.
