US fellowships for South African journalists specialized in mental health issues PDF Print

Journalists from South Africa who have covered topics related to mental health are invited to apply for a U.S.-based fellowship to educate local journalists about mental health issues.

In addition to receiving US$10,000 in funding, fellows will receive flexibility to complete a reporting project that should educate the public or inform other journalists on mental health. Throughout the fellowship year, participants will attend training at the Carter Center in Atlanta in the U.S.

Queen’s University is now inviting applications for the sixth year of the postdoctoral fellowship program in "Democracy and Diversity". The programme is partially funded by the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research.

The 2010-11 fellowship will start on July 1, 2010. Applicants must have submitted their doctoral dissertation by that date, and must be within five years of having received their doctorate.
