Council of Europe Youth Media Award accepting application PDF Print

Young European journalists up to 30 years old are encouraged to apply for the Council of Europe Youth Media Award. This year’s theme is press freedom and categories include photography, video, radio and print journalism. Winners will be invited to Strasbourg to receive the cash prize of €1000 at a ceremony during the October 2011 session of the Parliamentary Assembly.

The 2011 edition of the Anna Lindh EuroMed Dialogue Award in now launched. Following the historic changes the Arab region has experienced since December 2010, the international jury has decided to launch this year’s edition on the theme of Dialogue for Citizenship and Freedom.

Sea of Words literary contest PDF Print

A Sea of Words contest is being held again with the aim of contributing to the encouragement of dialogue between peoples, and exchange of knowledge and experiences between different local and international traditions. However, in the framework of the European Year for volunteering activities that promote active citizenship, this year’s theme will be aimed at promoting social solidarity and the democracy.

 
Youth video contest on migration, diversity and social inclusion PDF Print

Plural + invites video makers between the ages of 9 - 25 years old to submit short clips that address migration, diversity and social inclusion issues. Partners include The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations and UNESCO.
