MinDiShield (Combating Online Minority-Related Disinformation) is a two-year project co-funded by the European Union under the Creative Europe Programme. Bringing together six partners from Belgium, Cyprus, France, Greece and Italy, the project works to strengthen the resilience of ethnic minority communities against online disinformation and extremist messaging.
MinDiShield targets three interconnected audiences: media literacy and social support professionals, community leaders, and members of ethnic minority communities. Through training, multilingual resources, and a transnational Community of Practice, the project builds critical media literacy skills and supports cross-border knowledge sharing across five languages – English, French, Greek, Italian and Dutch.
MDIG’s role in the project
MDIG leads the dissemination, coordinating all project communication and awareness-raising activities across the consortium. This includes developing the dissemination strategy, producing multilingual communication, managing the project website and Community of Practice, organising information events and an online awareness-raising campaign in each partner country, and hosting the final transnational conference in Brussels. MDIG also contributes to training and capacity-building activities
