This handbook, produced by AIDSCAP’s Behavior Change Communication unit, was designed to help field-level planners and implementers use mass media as a part of their overall communication strategy. A series of chapters covers such issues as mass media, choosing mass media, radio tips, television tips, print media tips, using publicity, alternative mass media and budgets for mass media projects. From 1992-1997, the AIDS Control and Prevention (AIDSCAP) Project collaborated with community groups, governments, international donor agencies, nongovernmental organizations and universities to mobilize communities and resources in developing countries for HIV/AIDS prevention programs. Handbook published by Family Health International.
