The “Disability Handbook“, published by the National Union of Journalists, consists of thirty-two pages of information on journalism and disability, covering subjects such as disabled members in the workplace, disability and the law, union activity and campaigns – even the new Equality Acts in the Republic of Ireland are discussed. In the last pages, you can also find a glossary regarding the appopriate language that should be used by journalists while covering disability issues.
