Media Diversity Institute runs a one-of-a-kind MA Programme in Diversity and the Media at the University of Westminster in London.
Every year, the programme welcomes a small group of students to study on a unique course that combines the theoretical framework of diversity with its practical applications in the journalism, campaigning and public relations.
The course combines a portfolio of theory modules aimed to develop your knowledge and critical understanding of the processes of managing and making sense of cultural diversity, key issues in intercultural communication and of various aspects of the sociology of news with a number of practice-oriented modules intended to give you first hand experience in the practice of inclusive journalism.
In addition to obtaining their master’s degree, certain modules will afford addition accreditation such as the Broadcast Journalism Training Council and Adobe. Students will also have access to practical work experience schemes and unique internship opportunities in London.
